Led the offshore transition of application support services for UBS, establishing a global support model that expanded coverage, reduced operational costs, and enabled continuous 24/7 service availability. Teclab provided global production and service-delivery management for Cash and Payments systemic-risk applications, unifying technical and operations teams across regions to drive consistent service quality and operational control. The engagement included end-to-end delivery management for platforms supporting Corporate, Markets and Payments operations, alongside the implementation of structured release management, CAB governance, and controlled deployment processes to strengthen compliance and reduce production incidents.
Delivered four major liquidity system initiatives for HSBC, managing the full project lifecycle across multiple regions while streamlining delivery processes to reduce deployment risk and shorten release cycles. Teclab directed a large-scale infrastructure and application programme that strengthened liquidity management platforms, improving service availability and performance. The engagement included establishing structured vendor governance to improve code quality and accelerate delivery from offshore partners, while leveraging global IT delivery centres to optimise cost efficiency and enable round-the-clock development and testing capabilities.
Designed and delivered a secure, highly available Cloudera CDP Private Cloud for STC in KSA, providing production and disaster recovery environments on CDP 7.1.9. The engagement covered the full data engineering stack including HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, HBase, Knox, and Ranger, with enterprise security implemented through Kerberos, LDAP/Active Directory integration, SSL/TLS encryption, and high availability across critical services. Teclab integrated Dataiku to support advanced analytics use cases, configured fine-grained access control with Ranger, and enabled BDR replication to ensure disaster recovery readiness. The project concluded with full validation, documentation, and structured handover, delivering a resilient, scalable, and compliant analytics platform.
Architected and delivered a multi-cluster Cloudera CDP Private Cloud for Dubai Municipality as part of its Smart City programme in the UAE. The solution comprised three secure, highly available clusters dedicated to data ingestion, processing and analytics, and governance, built on a full data stack including HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, HBase, NiFi, Knox, and Ranger. Teclab implemented Kerberos-based security with LDAP integration, SSL/TLS encryption, and high availability across critical services, while enabling real-time IoT and batch ingestion through NiFi and centralized access control with Ranger. The engagement concluded with comprehensive design documentation, validation, and operational readiness, delivering a scalable and compliant platform ready for city-wide analytics and future AI and machine learning workloads.
Supported Bank of America Merrill Lynch on a $40M Payments Platform Replacement Programme, working closely with senior management to coordinate delivery across 10 interdependent project streams and complex cross-functional teams. Teclab led the delivery of a new enterprise cheque processing system, reducing manual intervention and accelerating payment turnaround times, and provided end-to-end delivery management for a $20M core banking transformation replacing the Demand Deposit Accounting platform with Oracle Flexcube to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance. The engagement included facilitating stakeholder workshops, driving requirements and dependency analysis, defining migration strategies, and managing product and portfolio migrations to ensure data integrity, regulatory alignment, and uninterrupted business operations.
Delivered a strategic Hadoop-based big data platform for Barclays, centralising enterprise data to support Risk, Finance, and Treasury functions across the bank. Teclab managed the build and operationalisation of enterprise-grade big data platforms across both on-premise and cloud environments, while driving automation and AI-led improvements to significantly increase server rebuild efficiency. The engagement included overseeing the migration of more than 5,000 data feeds, managing capacity growth across the big data landscape, and establishing strong programme governance with clear RAID management and stakeholder alignment across business and technology teams.
Designed and delivered an end-to-end Automated Reporting System for Mobily Pay in KSA, integrating data from Mobily Telecom and the Ericsson Wallet Platform to support business-critical reporting. The solution was built on Cloudera CDP and leveraged Spark, Hive, Impala, Sqoop, NiFi, and Kudu to automate data ingestion, transformation, and storage at scale. Teclab implemented Python-based Spark jobs for complex transformations, enabled efficient upserts using Kudu, and managed data migration into HDFS and Hive. The platform delivered interactive business intelligence through Tableau, supported by ELK-based alerting and robust pipeline monitoring, resulting in reliable, high-performance analytics for telecom operations.
Delivered a comprehensive Ozone cluster health check and Impala performance optimisation for Etisalat UAE, targeting severe latency issues on a 13 PB production data platform. Teclab identified CPU contention and resource inefficiencies affecting parallel Impala workloads, implemented system-level tuning, optimised YARN and Impala memory configurations, and introduced improved queue and resource management strategies. The engagement concluded with a detailed health and remediation report, delivering up to a 45% improvement in query performance and materially improving the stability and efficiency of large-scale analytics operations.

Teclab enabled real-time data ingestion through Cloudera CFM (Apache NiFi), integrated Ranger with Active Directory for centralized governance, deployed Cloudera Machine Learning with dedicated workspaces for data engineering and data warehousing, and implemented Cloudera Data Services on ECS. The project concluded with full documentation, smoke testing, and structured handover, delivering a resilient, scalable, and enterprise-standard data platform.
